Ace Data scouts for international partner

NEW DELHI: Data storage integrator firm Ace Data Devices is in discussions with two to three media houses in India for content digitisation and management projects, while it scouts for international firms for partnership in the field.

“We are in discussions with two or three media houses and expect to close one of these deals this month. In the first year itself, we are looking at additional revenue of about 20-25 per cent apart from our existing storage business,” Ace Data Devices Di rector, Mr Neeraj Mediratta said.

He, however, declined to divulge the names of the media houses.

Mr Mediratta said digital asset management (DAM) is a growing segment in the country although the current market size is estimated to be about Rs 500 crore.

DAM comprises digitisation of content, storage and archiving the assets for future use. Ace Data Devices is also scouting for international partners with expertise in the field.

“Since we are just foraying into the segment, we are looking for international partners who have the necessary expertise and have rolled out similar projects in other countries. They would leverage us the necessary know-how,” Mr Mediratta said. - PTI
