Motorola begins delivery of broadband equipments to Rajasthan

MUMBAI: Motorola on Wednesday said that it has begun delivery of its wireless broadband equipment to Rajasthan, for setting up a state wide wireless network.

Once completed, the network will connect Rajasthan's 10,000 panchayats and benefit the administration as well as citizens for various communication services, a Motorola release said here. Besides this, the 'MOTOwi4 Canopy' network would enhance the disaster management capabilities in this area, it added.

"The deployment provides high-speed connectivity to several rural locations where Internet penetration levels are virtually non-existent. By advancing the reach of Internet to these areas, citizens there will be able to access various communication and i nformation services," Motorola India country president, Mr Firdose Vandrevala said. - PTI
