RCom to launch Mobile Applications Stores through RWorld

MUMBAI: Telecom service provider and operator, Reliance Communications, said on Tuesday said that it will soon launch Mobile Applications Stores across the country through its data portal, RWorld.

The new RWorld 2.0 would be a 3G-ready data portal with world-class content management system supporting all the latest features available on mobile handsets.

The first version of it is planned to go live on GSM handsets by end of this month while an expanded version across CDMA as well as GSM handsets will be launched later this quarter.

RWorld 2.0 will be equipped with state-of-the-art service delivery platform supporting on-device portals, idle screens, widgets and RSS readers showcasing latest developments across the world.

Reliance Applications Stores would allow customers to browse and download applications (paid or free) through a controlled environment, the company said in a statement here. - PTI
