Spice Mobile targets Rs 1,000 cr revenue this year

MUMBAI: B K Modi-spearheaded Spice Mobile on Saturday said it is targeting revenues of Rs 1,000 crore in this calendar year against Rs 380 crore in 2007.

"We have launched the lowest priced handset in India at Punjab and Karnataka. From next month, it will be taken all over the country,'' Spice Group Chairman BK Modi told reporters here.

Last month, Spice had launched a handset at Rs 599. "The handset is an Indian brand for India,'' he said. - PTI
