Info-Tech Idea offers call charges at 50 paise per minute in Punjab CHANDIGARH: Aditya Birla Group company Idea Cellular on Thursday launched a new tariff plan for its postpaid subscribers in Punjab offering call charges at 50 paise per minute. “Idea postpaid subscribers availing the Jumbo offer can now make local and ST D calls on any network for just 50 paise per minute. Moreover, it also offers reduced roaming incoming charges at 50 paise per minute,” said an official release issued here on Thursday. Idea has also introduced a plan 'IDEA Pre to Post' through which existing prepaid subscribers can convert to postpaid plan by paying monthly rental of Rs 50, the release said. The other tariff plans introduced by the company for its postpaid subscribers include 'IDEA Value 125', 'IDEA Super Value 200', besides 'IDEA Pre to Post' plan. The new plans come with monthly rentals in the range of Rs. 50 to Rs 250, it said. Idea Cellular had acquired B K Modi-owned Spice group's 40.8 per cent stake in Spice Communications last year. Operating in 22 circles with total subscribers' base of 40 million, Idea Cellular has targeted to cover 95 per cent of geographical area of Punjab from 80 per cent at present. - PTI
