Tata Tele draws up capex plan of $2 bn

NEW DELHI: Telecom service provider Tata Teleservices had drawn up a capex plan of $2 billion for the current fiscal (FY'10) for its upcoming GSM-based mobile service, which will be launched in a few weeks.

“We have a capex of $2 billion in FY'10 for our GSM services, which will be launched in a few weeks from now,” Tata Teleservices MD Mr Anil Sardana said here during the company's conference to announce its new value-added services.

The GSM launch will take place in the southern region of the country and then will move to eastern part, Mr Sardana said. - PTI
