TCS, Siemens tie-up for medical device industry solution

MUMBAI: Country's top software exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Siemens PLM Software on Thursday entered into an agreement for Teamcenter for Medical Devices, a fully integrated solution for medical device industry.

"Teamcenter is an innovative solution that caters to the needs of the growing global medical devices market. Teamcenter encapsulates predefined compliance needs of the industry thus making it easy and reliable to use," Mr Regu Ayyaswamy, Vice-President ( Engineering Services), TCS said in a release here.

Teamcenter would look to provide end-to-end management of the medical devices industry's product lifecycle. It would enable companies to fully trace all activities from concept to retirement by automatically linking compliance requirements with engineeri ng and specification data, it said.

The solution combines compliance management, traceability and reporting capabilities to help medical devices manufacturers address quality and regulatory requirements, increasing competition and demanding time-to-market pressures, it added. - PTI
