The Hindu Business Line : Lanco Infratech Q1 profit zooms to Rs 116 cr

NEW DELHI: Infrastructure developer Lanco Infratech on Wednesday reported a jump of 96 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 115.85 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009 over the corresponding period last year. The consolidated total i ncome also rose by more than two-fold to Rs 2,232.95 crore during the April-June period of the current financial year from Rs 926.79 crore in the same quarter a year earlier, Lanco Infratech said in a statement to the BSE.

On standalone basis, Lanco Infratech posted a net profit of Rs 128.65 crore during the three-month period ended June 2009, registering a growth of close to three-fold as compared to Rs 46.88 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Shares of Lanco Infratech were trading at Rs 419, down 3.27 per cent in afternoon trade on the BSE. - PTI
