Citigroup consolidates stake in India Infoline to over 5%

MUMBAI: Foreign fund house Citigroup Global Markets has consolidated its stake in domestic brokerage firm India Infoline to 5.21 per cent for about Rs 14.01 crore.

Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius bought 1,16,000 shares, amounting to 0.22 per cent in India Infoline on November 20, through open market transaction, the brokerage firm said in a disclosure to the BSE.

Calculated on the basis of the closing share prices of India Infoline on November 20 at Rs 1,208.50, the deal value amounts to Rs 14.01 crore.

Prior to this transaction, Citigroup held 26,65,900 shares which rose to 27,81,900 shares pursuant to the said acquisition. The shares of India Infoline were trading at Rs 1,210, up 0.52 per cent on BSE in afternoon trade. - PTI
