Banking & Finance GI employees demand one monolithic corporation NAGPUR: The General Insurance (GI) sector employees are demanding creation of one monolithic corporation instead of present four separate entities. The employees under the aegis of General Insurance Employees Union, West Zone will be holding a three-day 10th national biennial conference of General Insurance Employees All India Association (GIEAIA) here in city from July 6, vice-president of GIEAIA, Mr Pradeep Dharamthok, said, here. He said about 250 delegates from all over the country will participate in the deliberations. The Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Oriental Insurance, Mr M Ramadoss will inaugurate while Com Mr Gurudas Dasgupta, MP, president of GIEAIA will preside. The conference will take up besides creation of one General Insurance Corporation, demand for complete stoppage to outsourcing in the general insurance sector, oppose unilateral amendment to the Insurance Act, increase in gratuity amount to bring it on p ar with central government employees, Mr Dharamthok said. - PTI
