PNB to open a branch in Hong Kong soon

NEW DELHI: Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Thursday said that it would shortly open a branch in Hong Kong. "We are shortly opening branch in Hong Kong and upgrading the representative offices in Shanghai and Dubai to branches,'' said PNB Chairman and Mana ging Director KC Chakrabarty.

PNB have already got requisite regulatory approval for opening up full service branch a few months ago. Presently, international branches are available in the UK (two outlets) and Kabul, with representative offices at Dubai, Shanghai and Almaty, he told customers at a relations programme for the Delhi zone.

The bank is giving major thrust to reach the common man by financial inclusion and greater emphasis for the same is being given by the bank through lending in agriculture, SMEs, Self Help Groups and Education loan for students, he said. - PTI
