Awareness campaign on global warming

CHENNAI: A private radio channel and an NGO have joined hands to launch an awareness campaign titled 'Blue Alert', aimed at sensitising citizens to the effects of global warming and resultant problems.

Under the initiative, a signature campaign would also be organised involving people in the city. A series of on-air and on-ground awareness shows have been planned for audience in Chennai, Adlabs-owned Big 92.7 FM which have tied-up with Greenpeace, said in a release today.

Celebrities are also expected to take part in the drive and lend support, the release added. The initiative is still underway and will run till April, it said. - PTI
