"We feel that this (Cinthol) brand should grow by 30 per cent, which will help in pushing company's sales in between Rs 1,200-1,300 crore by March 2009 as compared to about Rs 1,000 crore of turnover during 2007-08,'' GCPL Chief Operating Officer (Market ing and Operations) Rakesh Kumar Sinha said here. He said that the improved and new Cinthol range of soaps, talc and deo would be the main growth drivers for the company. It has decided to spend more than double of the amount it spent last year on marketing of Cinthol brand. However, he did not disclose the actual amount earmarked for Cinthol brand. "I can tell you the figure of total marketing budget of Rs 50 crore, but cannot share the money to be spent exclusively on Cinthol brand,'' he said. The company has also roped in Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as its brand ambassador. - PTI
