KOLKATA: Dabur India Ltd, a leading FMCG company with a turnover of Rs 2,234 crore, on Monday announced entry into the skincare market with the launch of cold creams and lotions.

"With the launch of Gulabari Cold Creme and Moisturising Lotion, Dabur India is seeking to establish prominent position in the Rs 1,300-crore skin care market, which is growing by over 40 per cent since 2001,'' said company's Senior Marketing Manager Min oo Phakey at a press conference here.

To a question, she said that the company, having a network of 1.5 million retail outlets in urban and areas, was expected to spread further with the growth of herbal, consumer care, healthcare and food products.

Dabur International, the company's hub for international business, has been operating in the Middle East, the UK, the US and several countries in Asia and Africa. The two new products, developed after extensive R & D, were packed with natural rose extra cts, it was claimed. - PTI
