Lanco Infratech Q3 net profit at Rs 20.3 crore

MUMBAI: Infrastructure development company, Lanco Infratech posted Rs 20.30 crore in net profit after taxation for the quarter ended December 31, whereas the same was at Rs 81.5 lakh in the year ago period.

Total income of the Hyderabad-based company stood at Rs 137.53 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal, while the same was at Rs 13.34 crore in the corresponding period of 2005, Lanco Infratech informed the BSE.

During the nine months ended December 31, Lanco Infratech had consolidated certain group entities engaged in the business of power, construction and property development under its management as a result of which these companies have become its subsidiari es/associates.

Hence, the consolidated results for the current period are not fully comparable with those of the corresponding period of the previous year, it added.

The consolidated results of the group show that it posted a profit after tax of Rs 51.67 crore in the latest quarter whereas the same was at Rs 3.62 crore in the year-ago period.

Consolidated total income of the group was at Rs 450.69 crore, while the same was at Rs 15.09 crore in 2005, it added. - PTI
