Kansai Nerolac Paints PBDIT up 11.8% in Q4

NEW DELHI: Paint manufacturer Kansai Nerolac Paints on Thursday announced a profit before depreciation, interest and tax (PBDIT) of 40.51 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31,2008, an increase of 11.8 per cent over the same quarter a year ago.

The company reported a 9.5 per cent growth in its income during the quarter under review at Rs 377.88 crore, against Rs 345.06 crore in the same quarter FY'07.

On cumulative basis, the gross sales registered for the full year is of Rs 1,613.33 crore, an increase of 8.7 per cent, compared to Rs 1,483.86 crore in the previous year.

"The top line growth of 8.7 per cent this year, is led by decorative business well supported by growth in emulsions,'' Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd Managing Director H M Bharuka said. - PTI
