Corporate Results Simbhaoli Sugars back in black MUMBAI: Simbhaoli Sugars on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs 23.57 crore for the fourth quarter ended September 30, while it had a net loss of Rs 7.43 crore in the same period previous fiscal. Total income rose to Rs 247.67 crore in the quarter ended September 30, from Rs 119.28 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Simbhaoli Sugars said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. On account of better realisation and off season refining of raw sugar at its sugar plants, the company has witnessed a robust improvement in the operating earnings and net profit. Going by current trend we expect margins to improve further, the compan y Director-Finance, Mr Sanjay Tapriya, said. For the year ended September 30, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 71.77 crore against a net loss of Rs 29.1 crore in the same period last fiscal. Total income rose to Rs 718.43 crore (Rs 445.5 crore). Shares of Simbhaoli Sugars were trading at Rs 74.15 on the BSE, up 1.85 per cent from its previous close. PTI
