MUMBAI: The State-run Container Corporation of India Ltd on Friday announced a net profit of Rs 752.21 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2008, a 6.88 per cent growth over the year-ago period.

The firm had a net profit of Rs 703.82 crore in FY'07, Container Corp said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The total income rose to Rs 3,511.77 crore for the year ended FY-08, from Rs 3,141.94 crore in the year-ago period. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 746, up 0.38 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE. - PTI
