Wyeth Q1 net up 10%

MUMBAI: Pharma major Wyeth on Friday said its net profit rose by 9.79 per cent to Rs 29.15 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 over the same period last year.

The company had a net profit of Rs 26.55 crore in the same quarter ended June 2008, the pharma major said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total income from operations rose to Rs 116.21 crore in the latest quarter against Rs 95.01 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

Shares of Wyeth were trading at Rs 627 on the BSE, up 1.55 per cent from previous close. - PTI
