HPCL Q2 net dips 43%

MUMBAI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) on Monday posted a 43.25 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 853.03 crore for the quarter ended September 2007, compared to Rs 1,221.98 crore for the same period last fiscal.

The total income of the company rose marginally to Rs 24,515.20 crore for the quarter under review, against Rs 24,506 crore for the corresponding period last year, HPCL said in a filing to the BSE.

Shares of the firm were trading at Rs 238.50, up 0.42 per cent in the afternoon trade on BSE. - PTI
