MUMBAI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) posted a net loss of Rs 888.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared with Rs 86.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

Total income for the quarter has increased to Rs 34,917.20 crore from Rs 22,216.13 crore in the same period last year.
