Jet Airways net profit up substantially in Q1

MUMBAI: Naresh Goyal-owned private air-carrier, Jet Airways, has posted a net profit of Rs 143.38-crore in Q1 FY 09 as against Rs 30.88-crore in the year-ago period.

Total sales rose to Rs 2,899.15-crore in the reporting quarter as against Rs 1,983.2-crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange today. - PTI
