Super speciality eye hospital opened in Chennai

CHENNAI: Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital on Tuesday opened its new super speciality eye hospital, ‘Dr Agarwal’s Retina Foundation’ here.

The hospital, set up at a cost of Rs six core, was formally inaugurated by the Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister, Mr M.K. Stalin.

Established on a built up area of 16,000 sq ft, the hospital would have well qualified and dedicated team of ten consultants and more than 70 paramedical staff to provide quality eye care services round the clock.

The hospital would have facilities to treat retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, trauma in retina, vitreous haemorrhage, cataract complication, intraocular foreign body removal, congenital RPE disorder and endophathalmitis.

Mr Stalin said Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital has been constantly striving to improve the quality of life of individuals by inventing new medical techniques and new treatment procedures keeping the interest of the common man in mind. — PTI
