Large quantity of ammunition recovered from militant hideout

JAMMU: Security forces have busted a militant hideout and recovered a large quantity of ammunition from it in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said here on Saturday.

On specific information, a joint team of army, CRPF and police launched search operation and busted the hideout at Beri Rakh, about 180 kms from here, in Mendhar area of Poonch district last evening, they said.

The recoveries from the hideout included 1,500 AK rounds, 455 pika ammunition and one pika belt.

Security forces were continuing search operation in the area to nab the militants, they said. - PTI
