NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Bangalore in the wake of today's serial blasts, which killed one person and injured some others.

The Home Secretary Mr Madhukar Gupta and other senior officials are in constant touch with Karnataka government officials, a ministry spokesman said. “A senior home ministry official is closely monitoring the situation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Home Minister, Mr Shivraj Patil condemned the blasts in eastern parts of Bangalore and offered all assistance to the Karnataka government to deal with the situation. - PTI
