Govt/States HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday termed the statement by a senior state CPI(M) leader over the possibility of loss of jobs in PSUs as 'baseless'. The General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh state CPI (M), Mr B V Raghavulu alleged that around 65,000 employees would lose their jobs in some of the state public sector undertakings (PSUs) following the state's proposed PSU reforms. However, the public enterprises department said that there is 'absolutely no truth' in the statement. In a release, it said that 'in the Government Order Ms No 5, dated 18th July, 2006, it was proposed to continue with the reforms in public enterprises and cooperative institutions with the sole aim of optimising production and improving maximum results. - PTI
