Legal Court admits REL plea on Mumbai sea link project NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday admitted a petition filed by Reliance Energy Limited (REL) challenging its disqualification from the bidding process for the Rs 2,600 crore sea link expressway between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. A consortium led by Anil Ambani-controlled REL had challenged the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation's decision to disqualify it from participating in the bidding process as its consortium partner Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company did not meet the Rs 200 crore net worth norm. Yesterday, a Bench headed by Justice Mr Arijit Pasayat deferred the hearing for today. Mukesh Ambani-led Sea King Infrastructure is the front-runner for the project. - PTI
