Inland water transport -- Untapped potential
MY FATHER had a sort of transport business which he wound up before I was born. He ran a bullock-cart service between his village and a far away town. The cart carried mainly vegetables and other farm produce to the wholesale market. On the return trip, which rarely had a full load of cargo, he picked up groceries and finished goods for the village shopkeepers.

VPT soft stand on HSL delay in tug supply
Vizag port has decided to adopt a soft financial stand on State-owned Hindustan Shipyard Ltd, for the latter's delay in delivery of two 50-tonne bollard pull tugs.
