THE Centre is looking into the issue of relieving the Agricultural and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA) of dealing with Ayurvedic products, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr C.P. Thakur, has said. The responsibility was now sought to be entrusted to an independent entity, he added.

THE Coffee Board plans to retain around 15,000 tonnes of coffee for the six-month period between October 2000 and April 2001, the Chairperson of the Coffee Board, Ms Lakshmi Venkatachalam, has said.
