IA package for Dubai Marathon
INDIAN AIRLINES is launching a special holiday package `Dubai Flyaways' for passengers who plan to visit Dubai during the Dubai Marathon 2001.
The airline is offering special package fares to Sharjah and back from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Trichy, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kochi, Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow, Goa, Mumbai and Calcutta.
The airlines has worked out special fares under the `Dubai package' which range from Rs 14,100 for passengers flying from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai to Rs 15,435 for passengers travelling from Bangalore, Trichy, Coimbatore and Chennai
. Passengers travelling from Calcutta will be charged Rs 18,905 while those from Goa will have to pay Rs 17,830.
Further, IA has negotiated a special package with hotel Astoria and Dubai Grand hotel both of whom will offer room at $110 per person for four days and three nights, on twin sharing basis.
IA officials said that the packages offered by the hotels in association with the airline will be valid during January and February next year and will include accommodation in a double room on twin sharing basis, American breakfast and complimentary tran
sfer from and to Sharjah airport.
IA started operation to the Gulf in February 1992 with twice-a-week service on the Kozhikode-Sharjah route and at present operates 22 weekly flight to the UAE, seven flights a week to Doha, Bahrain and Oman and six weekly flights to Kuwait. _ Our Delhi B
