Commodities
Pepper prices continue to fall
THE decline in pepper prices continued last week with the spot prices declining by Rs 900 to Rs 13,300 a quintal.

Gold trapped in narrow range
GOLD was range-bound throughout last week, except for a brief rally, while silver had a tough time. For much of the week, the yellow metal was trapped in a narrow $264-265 an ounce range with the focus rivetted on currency markets for direction. The larg ely lacklustre week ended at $ 265.25/oz (London PM fix), a change of 0.2 per cent week-on-week.
