Lyons Range

CALCUTTA:CEMENT shares improved at the Calcutta Stock Exchange on Thursday while IT shares eased on selling pressure.

Among the gainers were the counters of L&T (3.20 per cent), Jaiprakash (3.07 per cent), ACC (1.72 per cent), Kesoram (1.67 per cent) and Zee Tele (1.52 per cent). The counters of Satyam Computers, Pentamedia Graphics, Silverline, Rolta, Global Tele and D igital Equipment were among the top 10 losers.

The CSE-50 closed at 121.49 points against the previous closing of 121.44. The total turnover of the exchange stood at Rs 2,004.87 crore. -- Our Bureau
