Apogee, Jataayu achieve interoperability
BANGALORE: Apogee Networks, a global provider of advance IP content, rating, billing and settlement platforms and Jataayu, leading manufacturers of WAP gateway, have achieved interoperability between the Jataayu WAP gateway and Apogee Networks NetCountan
t Billing Platform.
This will allow wireless carriers and wireless data providers to bill for actual internet content delivered to wireless subscribers.
Currently, the ability to measure, identify rate and bill for actual Internet content delivered over wireless networks has been limited.
The Jataayu gateway provides the critical link between the mobile networks and the Internet and allows WAP-enabled mobile devices to request WAP-based services, such as access to internet content.
The content might include text, video, music or any other forms of content found on the internet.
Other content transactions include, financial, entertainment and location services. -- Our Bureau
