GTB launches mobile banking

HYDERABAD, Dec. 14
GLOBAL Trust Bank has announced the launch of InTouch mobile banking in association with Tata Cellular.
The Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Ramesh Gelli, said, ``Phone banking, Internet banking, 24x7 banking through ATM, and now it is InTouch mobile banking -- aimed at facilitating our customers with mobile banking services.''
According to the GTB President, Mr P.C. Narayan, the facility, aimed at keeping people on the move in touch with the bank, is built on the technology platform developed by Infosys and blends the 128-bit special security encryption technology providing se
curity features to all mobile banking transactions.
Mr S.K.Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Cellular, said, ``Through our association with the GTB, we bring to our subscribers yet another insta-messaging service, the convenience of banking at will. This new service will not only add value to our
subscribers, but also take them a step closer to new world of non-voice telephony.''
All GTB account holders who are also customers of Tata Cellular will be able to access their account on their mobile phones. InTouch will provide completely secure and responsive mobile banking service, which facilitates even utility payments.
The customer can perform various transactions on his banking and demat accounts through the mobile phone. These include account balance enquiry, holding in demat account, cheque status enquiry, last three transactions, transfer of funds and request for t
ransaction statement.
Tata Cellular subscribers will benefit from the company's recently-announced insta-messaging services, which enables them to receive updates and information on stocks, news, astrology, movies and engagements, according to the General Manager, Tata Cellul
ar, Mr. Nagarajan.
