Misuse of power by NMPT chief alleged
EVEN as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is said to have completed what the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) calls a surprise check regarding alleged irregularities in the affairs of the port, a few local trustees on the NMPT board have written t o the Ministry of Surface Transport focussing on `mismanagement and misuse of power' by the NMPT Chairman.

TAMP approves CPT's tariff hike decision
THE Tariff Authority of Major Ports (TAMP) has approved the Calcutta Port Trust's proposal for increased tariffs which are to come into force from May 4.
