Centre to move 3 lakh t AP rice
HYDERABAD: The Centre has instructed the departments concerned to move three lakh tonnes of boiled rice from Andhra Pradesh to West Bengal, Orissa and other States.

March coffee exports rise: ICO
MUMBAI: World coffee exports picked up considerable momentum in March after a somewhat sober previous two months. Export data released by International Coffee Organisation (ICO) showed a provisional 8.58 million bags (60 kilograms each) during the month, up from 7.64 million in February and 6.61 million bags in January 2001.

Sunagro Seeds develops hybrid radish variety
THE Delhi-based Sunagro Seeds Ltd (SSL) has released the country's first ever indigenous hybrid radish (mooli), R-33. The company claims that the hybrid has recorded an average per hectare yield of 32.2 tonnes in multi-locational trials, as against 26.7 tonnes for the existing `best check' variety, pusa chetki long.
