Kil Kotagiri Tea net down
COIMBATORE: The Kil Kotagiri Tea & Coffee Estates Co Ltd's net profit plunged to Rs 0.02 crore for the fiscal ended March 2001, as against Rs 0.57 crore during the corresponding period of the earlier fiscal.
Net sales dipped by Rs 1.13 crore to Rs 4.73 crore (Rs 5.86 crore) but other incomes jumped to Rs 0.56 crore (Rs 0.43 crore).
While staff cost and other expenditure (including excise duty) remained more or less on the same level as in the previous fiscal at Rs 3.12 crore (Rs 3.37 crore) and Rs 1.78 crore (Rs 2.20 crore) respectively, the reversal in stock-in-trade levels, has l
eft a big dent on the profits.
Compared to the earlier year, interest outgo fell to Rs 0.04 crore (Rs 0.10 crore).-- Our Bureau
