Foreign funds consolidate stake in Anant Raj

MUMBAI: Foreign funds including Lehman Brothers, ABN AMRO Bank and Master Trust Bank of Japan have consolidated their stake in real estate company Anant Raj Industries.

The board of directors of Anant Raj Industries at its meeting on Tuesday approved the issuance of 15,04,000 warrants convertible into equal number of equity shares of Rs 10 each at Rs 600 per share to foreign funds belonging to the non- promoter group, t he company said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Lehman Brothers Asia Ltd, account holder of GRA Finance Corporation Ltd, was allotted 3,22,500 shares, while ABN AMRO Bank N V, London Branch was issued 8,81,500 shares. Besides the Master Trust Bank of Japan Ltd, account holder of HSBC India Equity Moth er Fund was offered 3 lakh shares.

For the fourth quarter ended March 31, Lehman Brother Asia Ltd held 7.50 lakh shares aggregating to 2.1 per cent stake in Anant Raj Industries.

While, ABN Amro Bank NV had 20.50 lakh shares amounting to 5.73 per cent, Master Trust Bank of Japan owned seven lakh shares aggregating to 1.96 per cent stake in the company. The shares of Anant Raj Industries were trading at Rs 1,250, down 2.44 per cen t on BSE in afternoon trade. - PTI
