MUMBAI: Western Union Financial Services on Monday said it has appointed Kiran Shetty as the Country Director for its India operations with immediate effect.

Starting his career in Western Union as the head of new product development group for South Asia, Mr Shetty then moved to the firm's operations in North India, Nepal and Bhutan regions, a Western Union statement said.

Mr Shetty, later, took the additional responsibility of the West India region. Western Union offers services from over 50,000 locations spread across 5,000 cities. The company operates through a network of more than 3.79 lakh agent locations in over 20 0 countries. - PTI
