Corporate Span Diagnostics bags Rs 9.24-cr order from UN MUMBAI: Medical equipment maker Span Diagnostics said on Friday it has secured a contract worth Rs 9.24 crore from the United Nations for supplying malaria diagnostics test kits. “United Nations Office for Project Services - India Procurement Office has selected Span Diagnostics Ltd (Span) as a successful bidder for supply of Rapid Diagnostics Test kits for Malaria with aggregate sales value of Rs 9.24 crore plus applicable taxes ,” Span Diagnostics Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Delivery of equipments would be in two phases. The firm will deliver test kits worth Rs 5.54 crore (excluding taxes) in the current financial year and remaining kits would be delivered by July 2009, it said. Earlier, in February this year, the company had bagged an order worth Rs 6.27 crore from the United Nations Office for Project Services to supply HIV (Rapid) kits. - PTI
