Ambuja Realty to strengthen F&B business

KOLKATA: Ambuja Realty has embarked upon a drive to strengthen the food and beverages (F&B) business, which it had started 20 years ago.

Mr Harsh Neotia of Ambuja Realty said that the company would strengthen the F&B business by opening hotels and expand retail food joints. “We have been in the business since the last 20 years. We will now strengthen it,” Mr Neotia said. He said that the company would shortly open a 150-room five-star hotel above City Centre at New Town which was expected to be inaugurated in August.

Mr Neotia said that Ambuja Realty was now in talks with various hospitality chains for awarding the contract for running hotel operations. Starting with Conclave, a restaurant with banqueting facility, the company gradually progressed to open riverside r esorts and lounge bars.

The company also opened around 12 retail food joints under the brand name 'Tea Junction', which has an outlet at City Centre mall at Salt Lake and other locations in the city. Mr Neotia said that he planned to open Tea Junction outlets in malls not built by Ambuja Realty provided the rentals and locations were acceptable. - PTI
