Minda Ind secures orders from Volkswagen

MUMBAI: Minda Industries Ltd (MIL) has informed the BSE that it has bagged orders to the tune of Rs 50 crore from Volkswagen for the supply of headlamps and rear lamps for its upcoming models in India.

The orders also include supply of rear combination lamps for the global model being manufactured in Russia. The company will supply them from its existing facility at Chakan, Pune.

The Company is also conducting feasibility studies for setting up a new lighting plant at Bawal in Haryana.

MIL is in talks with other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for supply of headlamps and expects the turnover from lighting division to contribute Rs 225 - 250 crore to the top line in the next two years.
