High crude prices will have an impact on GDP growth: Rangarajan
NEW DELHI: Inflation is expected to come down to 6 per cent from the present level of 7.61 per cent in next three to four months, said the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council Chairman Prof C Rangarajan here on Monday.
"Inflation is likely to come down to 6 per cent in next three to four months. Thereafter it can come down to 5-5.5 per cent depending upon the monsoon and other sectors," said Prof Rangarajan on the sidelines of a conference.
He also said the high international crude oil prices will have an impact on the GDP growth rate. However, it would not 'derail' the growth process. In January, the council had revised the GDP growth estimates to 8-8.5 per cent for 2008-09, he said, addin
