Wheat remains weak

NEW DELHI: Wheat dara prices today fell by Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital due to reduced demand from rolling flour mills. Wheat MP (deshi) and other commodities, however, held unchanged on subdued demand.

Wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,140-1,215 per quintal, while wheat MP (deshi) held steady at Rs 1,400-1,700 per quintal. Traders said reduced offtake by rolling flour mills against adequate stocks position led to the fall in wheat dara (for mills) prices.

Following were Tuesday's quotations per quintal in Rs:

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,400-1,700, wheat dara (for mills) 1,140-1,215, chakki atta (delivery) 1,130-1,135, Chakki atta Rajdhani (10 kg)145, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 150, Roller flour mill 1,150-1,175, Maida 710-720 (50 kilos) and Sooji 750-765 (50 kg). Basmati r ice (lal quila) 9,000, Shri Lal Mahal 8,800, Super basmati rice 8,900.

Basmati common 6,700-6,900, rice Pusa-1121 - 4,500-5200, Permal raw 1,470-1,490, Permal wand 1,570-1670, Sela 2,000-2,100 and Rice IR-8 1,250-1,400, Bajra 725-740, Jowar yellow 775-815, white 1255-1320, Maize 800-855, Barley (UP) 1,000-1,055 and Rajastha n 1110-1120. - PTI
