Base metals up further

NEW DELHI: Base metal price continued to rule firm on the wholesale non-ferrous metal market here on Friday following higher London Metal Exchange advices amid renewed buying by stockists and consuming industries. Marketmen said overnight gains at Londo n Metal Exchange (LME) mainly improved the trading sentiments here also.

Globally, nickel and tin prices were up by $1205 and $430 at $33,900 and $15400 a tonne respectively. Tin ingot gained Rs.3 to close at Rs.776 per kilo largely in tandem with firm global markets and pick up in demand. Copper wire scrap , copper super d rod , copper wire bar, and copper mixed scrap gained by Rs.2 each at Rs.345, Rs.375, Rs.376 and Rs.332 per kilo respectively.

Following were today's quotations per kilo: Tin ingot 776, solder (40 per cent) 223, zinc slab 215.00, dross 167, Nickel plate (4x4) 2270-2320, (9x9) 2270 (4x24) 2270-2340,cadmium plate 315, Rod 305,antimony (china) 314, gun metal scrap 263, Bell metal scrap 157, copper wire scrap 350, copper super d rod 375, copper wire bar 376, copper mixed scrap 332, C.C rod 352, Utensil scrap 115, Mixed scrap 310, Chadripital 148, brass sheet cutting 107.50, bullet scrap 97, bharat scrap 238, accessories scrap 240 9, brass boring 78-80, brass radiator scrap 84 and huny scrap 99.50.
