Logistics NEW DELHI: Expanding its wings to north India, low cost state-owned carrier Air India Express (AIE) announced the launch of direct flights to Dubai from Amritsar and Mangalore from October 2. Both the services would operate twice a week using Boeing 737-800 aircraft in an all-economy configuration, the airline, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, said in a release. The frequency of these flights would be increased gradually, it s aid. With the proposed additions, the total number of its flights from India to the UAE and Oman would go up to 39. - PTI
