Nikkei declines

MUMBAI: Japanese share prices opened lower on Monday, with the benchmark Nikkei-225 index falling 147.49 points, or 1.50 per cent, to 9,668.58. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 18.38 points at 18,221.78.

Others such as Singapore’s Straits Times was down 11.21 points at 2,288.54 and South Korea’s Kospi was up 6.83 points at 1,426.87.
