US markets up

MUMBAI: The US stock markets rose on Monday. Marketmen said the reason for this gain in the markets was due to lowering oil prices that eased fears of the country's economy.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 130.43 points, to end at 12,876.31. The Standard and Poor's 500 index rose by 15.30 points to close at 1,403.58. The Nasdaq composite index finished 42.97 points up to end at 2,488.49.

Prev: ICI India to consider results on May 20
