General Chaturvedi is new CMD of Power Grid NEW DELHI: State-run transmission company Power Grid Corporation has got a new man at the helm of affairs with NHPC Director (personnel) Mr S K Chaturvedi taking over as its Chairman and Managing Director next month. Mr Chaturvedi has held other important positions earlier also in Power Grid, Steel Authority of India and National Thermal Power Corporation. When contacted, Mr Chaturvedi confirmed the appointment and said he would be taking charge from next month. He is also a member of several committees constituted by the Centre, on labour subjects. Mr Chaturvedi has worked in thermal, hydro as well as power transmission sector. - PTI
