RCF Workers call off strike

KAPURTHALA: Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Wednesday returned back to normalcy with the workers and management conducting negotiations to sort out the crisis.

They were agitating for the past 51 days demanding the transfer of the GM Mr Yashpal Gupta and dropping the proposal to corporatise the factory.

Union leaders met with the new GM Mr Partap Srivastva and assured him of their cooperation in meeting out the targets fixed by the board.

He reiterated the decision of the board to drop the proposal of corporatisation of the factory as the workers were against the conversion of the PSU. - PTI
