Avnet Tech to acquire Mumbai-based Ontrack Solutions

MUMBAI: New York Stock Exchange-listed Avnet Technology Solutions, on Friday said that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Mumbai-based Ontrack Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The transaction is subject to Government approval and is expected to close by mid-July, Avnet's President, Asia-Pacific, K P Tang, told reporters here.

Avnet Technology is one of the largest distributors of electronic components, computer products and technology services while Ontrack Solutions is known in the market as a leader in security, storage and server solutions. In FY-08, Ontrack's revenue sto od at around USD 13 million. - PTI
